Where it all started . . .

What began as a simple inquiry as to how I can get involved in my community and make a difference has evolved into something so much more.

I am so overwhelmed with the collaboration and support to get me to the brink of the Iowa State Senate, that I must now ensure I am doing what is needed to better our communities for children, parents, young adults, and seniors. With my twenty-years of expertise in improving nursing and healthcare practice as a Clinical Project Manager and a bedside RN, I am seeking your collaboration to improve Iowa’s direction. Together we can make a difference!

We’re excited for what’s ahead. What sets MensendickForIowa apart isn’t just our integrity to do what is right—it’s the heart-felt care for our neighbors and community that is the driving force for everything we do.

Healthcare Reform

Healthcare costs are skyrocketting! Our Families and Seniors are struggling on many levels to get healthcare that is affordable and relevant to the needs of our community. And everyone’s needs are different. Our Legislature needs to refocus on our neighbors and provide creative solutions for Iowans. Let’s get it done!

Parental Rights & Education

Let’s ensure that Parents / Grandparents are the decision-makers for how and where their children are educated. Whether that is Public Education, Private Schools, Homeschooling, or Savings for their child’s education, we need to support our families. Parents have the best interest of their children at heart. Let’s support our families!

Fiscal Responsibility & Lower Taxes

We’ve all seen the rampant waste, fraud, and abuse rampant. Families, Seniors, and Small Businesses need our help. Our Community needs lower property and income taxes. Eliminate pet government projects and allow our hard-earned money to stay in our communities, not at the State or Federal level. Keep Iowa budgets lean and free of the abuse. Budget increases mean higher taxes. Let’s hold Government Fiscally Responsible!

Opportunities for Business

Running a business, big or small, is a challenge. Whether a family farm or dairy, manufaturing, or running a business in Iowa, there are so many fiscal and regulatory challenges. Businesses provide our needed products, employment, and contribute to the State’s bottom line. Let’s keep the “red-tape” is at a minimum to help old and new businesses thrive and in our region. Let’s ensure our policies support this!

Law Enforcement, First-Responders, & Military

Thank you to our brave Law Enforcement, Military, and First Responders, who keep our Community Safe! Our Law Enforcement, First Responder EMTs, Doctors, Nurses, and Firefighters all put our community first in the daily performance of their jobs. Military members and their families come from our community, protect our country, and guard our borders. We appreciate you!
